An interesting event that happened in school- second CA assignment

Today, which is Wednesday, has been a fun and satisfying day for me. In the morning, we had literature. We were supposed to study a poem and dramatise it. It might seem simple, but the result was horrendous. The first group presented. They were somewhat interesting and entertaining. I thought, "Hmm, not bad. Things cannot get worse than this.) I was wrong. By the time the third group presented, everyone seemed lethargic and unenthusiastic. (I can't say I'm too excited about it) Group after group did the same old thing and it looked like they were copying each other. My group did no better. 1 hour of my time wasted.

After that, it was PE lessons. We played soccer. At first, I didn't have the heart to play. But the soccer bug, which was unavoidable, soon got to me and i was kicking like never before. After the game, I suddenly had a different perspective of the way I see people play soccer. Normally, on a weekly basis, I watch the S.league. As fake as it may sound, I actually follow quite closely to Singapore football. On television, I was pretty disappointed with their playing as the players were seldom able to find open space and missed a number of shots in front of goal. I was like " ARE YOU STUPID OR WHAT!? HOW CAN YOU EVEN CALL YOURSELF A SOCCER PLAYER!?" But, now I realise why. Once, when I had the ball, two of my opponents came rushing at me. I foolishly tried to dribble past them but try as I could, I just couldn't shrug them off. In the end, I lost possession. I felt so stupid after that. I could have just passed to my teammate but it just didn't cross my mind at that point. That was not the only time. It happened numerous times. I feel I have let my team down in the game. Worse still, I missed a shot in front of goal. I mean, how can you even miss 5 metres away from goal!?

But my team was extremely encouraging and told me it was okay. Through their constant encouragements, I pulled through and finally netted in a goal. Yay me. It was gruelling and tiring. Until now, my muscles are aching. Maybe I didn't do enough stretching. During recess, I ate coconut rice with BBQ chicken. Guess what? It cost $2. Simply put, I got scammed. During that point, even though I knew my mistake, I had no guts to tell the canteen vendor. How "loserish". I hated myself for that. I could have saved 50 cents! Lessons carried on as usual with new information feeding my hungry brain. I definitely want to continue schooling for as long as I can do it. Moral of the story: Have courage in everything you do and most importantly, learn from your mistakes.
